2008 College Salary Report (PayScale.com)

PayScale.com has just published its 2008 College Salary report. It really only covers the most popular diplomas at some of the most popular schools (nothing on intel studies) but I thought it was worth passing on. The chart below shows an interesting relationship between intelligence analysis and political science, however.

Jobs ranked by popularity among graduates. Annual pay for Bachelors graduates without higher degrees from all colleges. See full methodology for more.

I'm gonna go with that USD 80,000 figure for intel analysis is somewhat inflated. I don't even think that's the median salary for private sector. If it is, perhaps I need to get out of the government!

Low 80s is pretty common in the private sector...depending on where in the country you work...

Of course those figures are inflated. The true figures are more like 50,000 or 60,000. And since most intel jobs are in DC, even that salary range isn't great since the cost of living is so high.

Those figures are not inflated. If you have the skills, experience, and clearance you can demand anywhere from 80,000 to 100,000. More if you are willing to travel.
